1-HAWK-EYE-A  technology used in cricket,Tennis,Badminton,Rugby to track trajectory of the ball.

2-EGGBEATER-A skill used in water polo and synchronised swimming,where the competitor rotates legs alternatively in opposite directions-while the right leg moves anti-clockwise.

3-CHUKKER-A term in Polo used to denote a period of play.Unlike other sports,Polo is not sectioned into halves or quarters.It is divided into seven and a half minute chukkers. 

4-PERFUME BALL-It's a nasty,well-directed bouncer in cricket,on or just outside the off-stump,aimed at the batsman"s head.Since it often passes within inches of his face,the ball is deemed to be close enough from him to smell-or get a whiff of,at any rate.

5-GRINDER-A player whose job is to shut down the opposition"s offence.Grinders are part of many team sports,but Ice Hockey has seen them by hundreds.

6-WHITE LINE FEVER-The radical change in a sportsperson"s behaviour after stepping over the "white line". Often it"s just "an excuse for poor behaviour and poor discipline.

7-NELSON-A term used in cricket when the team"s score is 111 or multiples of it-222,333,etc.It is,believed to bring with it ill fate.Umpire David Shephred,a believer,used to hop on one leg to ward it off,much to the amusement of spectators.



8-HOT SPOT-an imaging system used to determine whether the ball has struck the batsman,bat or pad.

9-SNICKO-A tool created by English computer scientist Allan Plaskett.


10-World Wrestling Entertainment Champion-Jinder Mahal whose real name is Yuvraj Singh Dhesi

11- RUB OF GREEN- It"s popularly thought to originate in snooker or golf-green reffering to grass and rub to a hurdle. The "rub of green" was first used in lawn bowls.



12-SQUARED CIRCLE-A term to describe a boxing or wrestling ring, a space within which combat occurs.
