1. Why do we celebrate 'Doctors' Day' on July 1?

Ans 1-  'Doctors' Day', held on July 1, marks the birth and death anniversary of legendary physician  Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, the first CM of West Bengal from 1948 until his death.

               He was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honour, in 1961.

Ans 2. *Roy served as the first president of the Cardiological Society of India from 1948 to 1950. 

*He played an important role in the establishment of-
