194. Story behind " Raksha Bandhan"

  Raksha Bandhan, which literally means 'bond of protection',  is celebrated on full moon day, in the month of Shravan. That's why it is called "shravni" which means in Hindi " श्रवण करना " । It is believed that Lord  Shiva when imparted  'Brahm Gyan' to Goddess Parvati, lost control over her senses and slept in between but a couple of 'Shuk and Shuki' listened it with rapt attention.   Once, when a sage Shameek, was meditating, a king named 'Prikshit'  approached him to ask for wate r. Being in deep meditation the sage did not hear the king. The king became angry and rested a dead snake around the sage's shoulders. When the sage's son returned and saw this, he was enraged. He cursed unknowing who did it. He said,"  Whosoever did this will die in seven days from the bite of Takshak, the king of serpents."                                                                           After this curse bore fruit and King 'Prikshit' died, his son Janmjay decided to take revenge by conducting a sacrifice wherein all snakes of the world were to be offered into the fire. But during the sacrifice, another sage told the king's son that what he was doing was wrong. The sage imparted spiritual wisdom to him. 192 पाशुपतास्त्र स्तोत्र

                                                                              पाशुपतास्त्र स्तोत्र का मात्र 1 बार जप करने पर ही मनुष्य समस्त विघ्नों का नाश कर सकता है। 100 बार जप करने पर समस्त उत्पातों को नष्ट कर सकता है तथा युद्ध आदि में विजय प्राप्त कर सकता है। इस मंत्र का घी और गुग्गल से हवन करने से मनुष्य असाध्य कार्यों को पूर्ण कर सकता है । पाशुपतास्त्र स्त्राोत का 21 दिन नियमित सुबह-शाम 21-21 पाठ प्रतिदिन करें। साथ ही नीचे लिखे स्तोत्र का एक सौ आठ बार अवश्य जाप करें और सुबह या शाम को इस मंत्र की 51 आहुतियां काले तिल से हवन अवश्य करें। इस पाशुपत स्तोत्र का मात्र एक बार जप करने पर ही मनुष्य समस्त विघ्नों का नाश कर सकता है । सौ बार जप करने पर समस्त उत्पातो को नष्ट कर सकता है तथा युद्ध आदि में विजय प्राप्त के सकता है । इस मंत्र का घी और गुग्गल से हवं करने से मनुष्य असाध्य कार्यो को पूर्ण कर सकता है । इस पाशुपातास्त्र मंत्र के पाठ मात्र से समस्त क्लेशो की शांति हो जाती है । स्तोत्रम ॐ नमो भगवते महापाशुपतायातुलबलवीर्यपराक्रमाय  त्रिपन्चनयनाय नानारुपाय  नानाप्रहरणोद्यताय सर्वांगडरक्ताय
