{26 } RELIGIOUS SIGNIFICANCE OF NEW YEAR

  • New year was started to be observed as a day dedicated to Janus,God of new beginnings,under the Julian calendar in pre-Christian Rome.The month of January was also named after Him


  • January First as the New Year is celebrated  according to Georgian calendar.
  •        
  • New Year Eve every year is celebrated on the seventh day of Christmas season on December 31.

  • The day 31st marks the day of Feast of the Naming and Circumcision of Jesus in the faith of Christianity.

  •  In several countries,it is also observed as Saint Sylvester"s Day.
  • In India people celebrate it with a hope that the year ahead is going to bring in loads of good luck. 

  • Though as per Indian calendar, new year starts in" Chaitr mas " yet people believe 12 months complete one year, that's why all of us wish every one on Jan 1st.
  •  In my opinion,
  •                          Every day is a new day
  •                          Enjoy the renewal keeping
  •                          All differences at  bay.
  •                          Life is too short to live
  •                          Laugh, when the whole world laughs
  •                          Lest your joys, should not be halves
  •                         Good wishes are  seldom in destiny
  •                          If some one sends,  grab them fast.
