  Lohri Festival is generally considered a festival of Panjabies.But it is not so.This festival is not  only celebrated in Punjab,but also,is celebrated in Himachal Pradesh,Delhi and Jammu.The  festival comes in the auspicious month of January.The day has its historical significance.                               It is said that in the age of Akbar,The Great,there was a famous dacoit named  Dulla Bhtti Wala. Though his act of robbery was not appreciable,yet he earned a great  reputation because of his kind-heartedness ,his sympathetic kind of nature and his virtue. One  day when he came to know that two poor girls named Sundary and Mundary were forcibly  being pushed to marry a  king he immediately rushed and brought both the girls to a jungle.  He lit the bonefire and married  them off.In a gift,he gave them one k.g. jaggery and like  a father bid fare...

New year was started to be observed as a day dedicated to Janus,God of new beginnings,under the Julian calendar in pre-Christian Rome.The month of January was also named after Him January First as the New Year is celebrated  according to Georgian calendar.         New Year Eve every year is celebrated on th e seventh day of Christmas season on December 31. The day 31st marks the day of Feast of the Naming and Circumcision of Jesus in the faith of Christianity.  In several countries,it is also observed as Saint Sylvester"s Day. In India people celebrate it with a hope that the year ahead is going to bring in loads of good luck.  Though as per Indian calendar, new year starts in" Chaitr mas " yet people believe 12 months complete one year, that's why all of us wish every one on Jan 1st.  In my opinion,                          Every day is a new day   ...

मैं भारत का नागरिक हूँ",स्वतन्त्रता" जन्म-सिद्ध अधिकार मेरा "देश की रक्षा में तत्पर रहना" संग संवैधानिक कर्तव्य मेरा i चाहे जिस भी मज़हब का हूँ,धार्मिक स्वतन्त्रता अधिकार मेरा "अखंडता को बनाए रखना"  है  संवैधानिक कर्तव्य मेरा i पाऊँ मै" स्वच्छ पर्यावरण "यह मौलिक अधिकार मेरा "उसकी रक्षा व संवर्धन करना "यह संवैधानिक कर्तव्य मेरा i देश की छवि उजागर करने",लेखन,भाषण "अधिकार मेरा "शान्ति व अहिंसा को बनाए रखना " है संवैधानिक कर्तव्य मेरा i "अच्छा नेता,अच्छा शासन " है मौलिक अधिकार मेरा स्वच्छ छवि को चुनना चुनाव में,है संवैधानिक कर्तव्य मेरा i मैं  भारत का नागरिक हूँ ,कितना आसानी से कह दिया ज़रा कर्तव्य की बात करी तो  कितना मुश्किल मान लिया i  अपने अधिकार पाता हूँ  मैं, यदि संग  कर्तव्य  निभाता हूँ " मैं भारत का नागरिक हूँ " कहने का हक तभी  रखता हूँ i माना संविधान लचीला है ,केवल अधिकारों की "अपेक्षा" ठीक नहीं  संतुलन बिगड़ जाएगा अत: कर्तव्यों  की" उपेक्षा" ठीक नहीं...

विदेशी मूल की बेटी अंग्रेज़ी अंग्रेजों संग भारत आई थी i खूब हुई यहाँ ताज-पोशी क्या किस्मत उसने पाई थी ii पहला प्यारा "माँ "शब्द हिन्दी ही  ने सिखाया था i वेदों का पवित्र ज्ञान उसने ही सुनाया था ii सुना है सब वेदों को विदेशियों  ने चुरा लिया i पर  दोष क्यूँ  उनको  देना है   अपनों ने ही  अपनों की  कद्र  करना  न सीखा  है  ii लाखों की रोज़ी और रोटी अंग्रेज़ी ही छीनती है i फिर भी हिन्दी के  अपने घर में ठाठ से वह  राज़ करती है ii हर स्कूल,हर दफ्तर अंग्रेज़ी का स्वागत करता है i हिन्दी से नाता रखता जो उसको "गेट आउट" कहता है ii यूँ तो हिन्दी हैं हम हिदोस्तां हमारा है "अंग्रेज़ी में कुशलता चाहिए" हर रोज़गार का नारा है ii  देश के सब  राज्य भी हिन्दी को बाहर करते हैं  i मातृ - भाषा को ठुकरा कर विदेशी को घर पर रखते  हैं  ii पहले भी अंग्रेज़ी को  सियासत  ही  लाई थी अब भी सियासत ही ला रही i  देश की शान होकर भी   ठोकर हिन्दी  खा रही ii ...

आज़ादी  की खुशियों में  भारत का  संविधान बना  गर्व से सीना चौड़ा हुआ जब लोकतांत्रिक देश बना  i अच्छा शासन और निष्कासन का, सबको था  उपहार मिला  दु:शासन को उखाड़ फेंकने ,वोटिंग का अधिकार मिला i नई सोच अम्बेडकर की,पहले तो सब नया  लगा धीरे-धीरे जमे कीचड़ में,फूल कमल का नया खिला i पंजा जब मारा  तो कीचड़ खूब उछल गया झाड़ू से गर साफ़ किया  तो  प्रदूषण हवा में उड़  गया i क्या करें,मजबूरी है,आना-जाना पड़ता है   साइकिल  पर जाएं या हाथी पर इससे क्या फर्क पड़ता  है i घर तो अपना घर होता है,कुछ भी हो सब अच्छा  है घर की रौनक को बढ़ाने सबका होना जरूरी है i स्वभाव है सबका अलग-अलग आदत से मजबूरी है कोई तो चाहिए देश का रक्षक ,सो  वोटिंग भी जरूरी है i पढे लिखे नौजवानों !  गर देश की तकदीर बदलनी है "आने वाला कल संवारना " तो आगे आना  जरूरी  है i तर्क देना तरह-तरह के नेताओं की मज़बूरी है कुछ भी समझने के लिए , उसकी सर्च करना जरूरी है i  कोई  कुछ  कहता है , कोई कुछ कहता...
