 The Ganapati festival often comes in the month of September. This festival continues for 10 days. People bring colorful idols of Ganapati to their homes with great pomp and show. They and the clay y offer their services to their dear Lord with full respect. They cook what Ganapati likes, they eat what Ganapati loves to eat, and they wear what is finest to please their God. Houses are decorated like a bride and earthen lamps are lit as a symbol of the spreading of the divine light. Ganapati remains in the houses for 1, 5, 5, 7, and 11 days, symbolic of our life span.
