संविधान शब्द हिन्दी के  “सुविधान” शब्द से लिया गया है जिसका अर्थ है सुव्यवस्था i अत: संविधान वह लिखित दस्तावेज़ है , जिससे शासन - प्रणाली  सुव्यवस्थित दंग से संचालित होती है i इसमें क़ानून के रूप में मौलिक नियम , सिद्धांत व मौलिक अधिकार दिए गए हैं जो न्याय पालिका, कार्य पालिका व प्रधान मंत्री से ले कर प्रजा तक सबके लिए माननीय हैं ताकि देश की व्यवस्था न्यायसंगत चलती रहे i     प्र:-1= भारत के संविधान की क्या मुख्य   विशेषताएं हैं  उ-भारत का सविधान विश्व में सबसे लम्बा संविधान है i वर्तमान समय में 448 अनुच्छेद , 25 भाग और 12 अनुसूचियां हैं i  – हमारा संविधान लचीला व कठोर है i लचीला इसलिए क्योंकि सरकार   संविधान के कुछ अनुच्छेद संसद साधारण बहुमत से बदल सकती है i कठोर इसलिए कि कुछ अनुच्छेदों को सरकार बिना संसद के दो/तिहाई बहुमत और भारत के आधे प्रदेशों की सहमती के बिना नहीं बदल सकती i -संविधान के अनुसार सभी भारतीय, भारतीय हैं चाहे वे किसी भी राज्य में रहते हों i -विभिन्न धर्मो के लोग स्वेच्छा से अपने धर्म का प्रचार कर सकते हैं, किसी धर्म को अपना सकते हैं i किसी भी धर्म के लोगों से
